Recaps of 2006 & new year resolutions!

Today is the last day of December 2006. Tomorrow will be a brand new year... Let me recap the happening of this year.

THis year has ups & downs, but still can consider quite smooth... at least i can say that i hv got a stable job and has been on it for 5mths....

my dad has been ok this yr, and i wish & hope that he will be fine throughout and on the road to recovery...

Also have got to know a lot of new friends at my workplaces and has got to know 3 very good friends in ST Logsitics... where the original name was Singapore Technologies, but was bought over by an australia company, Toll Asia where we hv split into two company - St Logisitcs and Toll (Singapore). 1 for commercial sales and the other is mindef sales.. haha...

also hv got my very 1st bonus after 2 years plus of working.. (very sad right?)

also hv interdept transfer from FMD A/P (where it is a torturing dept.. haha...) to FMD Billing (where i had a lot of fun, loved my job and also got to interact with more pple but ended up got complained....)

also darling proposed to me and we hv selected a date for ROM and now is doing the planning...

also attended my best friend's ROM and wedding dinner

also got to know that my the other best friend's bf had proposed to her as well.. (she has been waiting long! keke.. dun beat me ah...)

i think should hv more things.. but i can't recall at this moment.. hahaha... but above are the best things that could ever happen to me....

My New year resolution are: my dad can be better than ever, my colleague's daughter can fully recover without hving to take aspirins, and her dad to be able to recover... able to hv a ROM well palnned without hiccups, able to saved up more $$, so that can sit on a plane for the 1st time of my life, hope to get a flat of our choice either by this yr or next yr!

so far, these are my new yr resolutions, if i think of more, then will write down.

Christmas!

This year's christmas is a fun filled christmas!! I received a lot of pressies from my friends and colleagues, really loved 1 of the pressie which my supervisor, Jenny hand-made herself. it is so adorable!! too bad that this stupid blog cldn't load the photos...

Had 2 christmas celebrations in the office, 1 on the 21st frm the level 3 people, which is organised by the bible study group, had loads of fun, and good food!! All thanks to the organiser!! The turkey was yummy as it was made by angela, (frm level 3), the stuffing was yummy and the turkey meat was tender!! i managed to da bao some for my 2 shifus, jenny lau and angela!!!

Had fun doing the gift exchange, all of us had to hold our own pressie and stand in a circle, and then angela will read a passge about the Wright family. When we hear the word wright, we have to pass the present to our right, if left, pass to the left, when the passage ends and the present u r holding will be ur pressie!!! it was really fun, coz it was quite confusing as they are many right and left.. hahaha....

the 2nd party was on the 22nd, for all staffs, had our own christmas carollers, then a speech by our president, then a lucky draw with only 15 pressies. i was lucky to get the 7th prize!! Maureen also got 1, alson, foren too!! Guess who got the 1st prize which is a canon printer, scanner, copier?? It is Yanni!!! her writing is quite curvy that the presenter could not read, if not for her badge number, she would have missed the present!! Congrats to her!! there was also a buffet wif lots of food, raisin rice, hotdogs, pepper prawns, turkey, hams, salads, etc.. cldn't remember.... haha.. the food was quite ok, some were salty...

Met up with darling's fren for a christmas gathering on the 23rd at vivo, wanted to ate marche but the renovation was not done up, so not opened yet. so we went to sushi tei, ate 90+ ( 6 of us) haha... then watched night in the musuem, then went to parklane for dou hua!! (actually i dun like dou hua, but still ordered a bowl to eat.. didn't finish so brought hm).. also had gift exchange, old practise is 1 present per person, the organiser did not mention that is 1 present per couple!! in the end, darling and me bought 1 present per person!! we are on the losing end.. haha.. but nvm, just a xin yi...

24th stayed at hm doing nuthing....

25th went over to darling's grandma place to celebrate christmas, they moved hse and grandma is staying alone with the maid at lor chuan, chuan park condo. the condo is the old type of condo, small and cramp, really pity grandma but if not for her temper, she wldn't hv to stay alone... haiz... also got buffet, frm swensens, the turkey is yummy, 2 types of ham, 1 is nice, 1 is so so only... also sang christmas song, gift exchange.. then ate ice cream log cake!! Yummy!!!!

Good news!

Just now forgot to post.. haha.. have gotten the auspicious date report.. the master gave us 2 dates, 3rd July 2007 & 7th July 2007!!

And we will be selecting 7th july 2007 to solemnised!! haha.. will hv to start saving more $$ and prepared to book venue and etc.. haha.. so tired now.. going to sleep le.. nitez every1!

My Bdae CElebration!!

Thanks to all my friends wishes and gifts... Really had a great birthday!!! Thanks to liz & elicia for celebrating with me on the 8 at IMM!! Thanks for treating me to eat Bali Thai!! We had so much fun eating there!! Also thanks to my darling for treating me eat Sushi Tei!! yummy!! and also for buying me the lovely tortoises which im so in loved with!! at 1st darling wanted to buy me a big tortoise which i fancy.. but no place to put so i decided to buy the 2 small ones.. hehe... aren't they adorable??? =D

WEnt to vivocity for s walk.. after walking for few hours. so tired so we decided to go to 2 of the cafes to rest.. ended up at White Dog Cafe.. the ambience is quite gd, can see the sea view.. but it was so sunny.. like bbq.. haha... ate fries, drank latte and sparkling juice.. but the jucie taste weird... hmmm....

there was also a so called band performing at the open space at level 1, the band is called string theory. the music they played is lovely... a very special harp is used and the sound it produced is like violin!! thinking of buying the CD but ended up didn;t buy.. haha... ate dinner in sushi tei yummy.... then as was quite tired so went home quite early... hehe..

Counting down to !st Anniversay for Blogging and....

Times flies.. so fast, my blog will be 1 yrs old.. haha... and i will be 1 yr older also..

2006 has been a fast, so so year.. it was like yesterday that i just turn 21... and now im gonna celebrate my 22nd birthday.. can you imagine???? i can't imagine!!! and also i will be celebrating the 5th anniversay with my darling!! 5 yrs of happiness, sadness, quarrelling.. hahaha..

Wondering what will my bdae be like this yr... more exciting things to come??? have booked an appt for the fengshui master to calculate a auspicious date ... will get the report this sunday.... hahaha... shal not reveal so much till things are confirmed.. hehe...

2006 is coming to an end pretty soon with 25 days and christmas is coming!!

22nd will be the christmas celebration in the company and in level 3M we are supposed to buy a present with the budget of $10 and place it under the christmas tree. it will be like a lucky draw and everybody will get a christmas present!! hehehe...

hmm.. wat should i buy? i also hve to buy a lot of christmas present for a lot of pple.. shall not name the pple here.. wait they are upset if the name is not listed.. hahaha...

wondering how will i be celebrating the christmas this yr... hmmmm.....

now exams is over.. feeling a bit weird .. haha.. don't knw will pass a not.. dare not think.. the results will be out on the 2nd day of new yr which is 19 feb 2007.... Ekkks....

The gifts for Guests! (the potpurri is packed by elicia & me!)

1st of Dec is my best buddy, Liz big day. on the 30th, elicia and i went over to liz house to stay over and also to help out anything. We help to pack the potpurri which is meant for the guests! also to arrange some of the item. We had canadian pizza by liz family!

we slept quite late due to some problems and had to wake up early!!!! only managed to catch about 5hrs of sleep.. haha... but we still look so pretty!!! hahahaha....

liz woke up at 6.12am.. then she went to bathe and prepare to makeup then our turn to wake up and makeup.. haha.. ard 8plus to 9am the groom is here to fetch liz... then we go to the groom's hse in the london cab for the tea ceremony.. then after that had some food then go to their new house to on the head light at the bed.. ( a traditional for the chinese)..

then hv to go back to liz house to collect some things and went to chevron.. some hiccups.. but luckily all went smoothly.. ard 4pm elicia, me & my bf left chevron.. tired but happy.. haha... went home and sleep..

going to study le.. exams in on monday! wish me luck!!

Yesterday met elicia & liling to buy dress.. for Liz wedding.. had our dinner at the korean restaurant at Heeren. then went to search for dress... the food is nice as we ordered ala carte... total $33 only for 3 person...

then went to IS/Daniel yam to look at dresses... tried a few but hor cutting too small.. so very sad...

then went to takashimaya to continue searching... finally i found a purple halterneck dress.. haha....

but elicia cldn't find any that she fancy...

12 Nov~

Hmm... on friday went to vivocity to meet frens for a movie... ( actually is my bf's fren)... was to meet at 7pm but nobody was there! i reach there abt 20mins earlier.. so i walk ardd.. went to vivo to take a look at the new shopping mall!! it was very big and quite empty.. hahaha....

when it is 7pm, i called meiyi.. but hor they are not here yet!!! darling was working OT, so bo bian.. but all others was damn late lor.. My close frens shld knw my pattern.. if u wan to be late, must inform me b4 hand.. or i will be damn pissed off!!!...

tricia then call me to say she still in office ( but her office is near vivo, so nvr mind), and the rest are along AYE!!....argghhhh.... say 7.30pm shld reach, but i was waiting and waiting and waiting.. 7.50pm then they reach, i was msging my sapphire mei mei and calling cookie to grumble.... arggghhhh...

finally i can eat my dinner.. at the hawker center.. tricia wanted to order fish soup, so i ask her to order for me too... i wanted fried fish bee hoon and she order fish slice bee hoon!!! WTH!! but luckily the fish slice beehoon taste nicer than fried fish beehoon....

after dinner, we walked ard, went to the candy empire, i bought 2 small tins of sweets for 2.95! ( buy 1 get 1 free!) all other sweets are quite expensive, so i can only buy 2 small tins....

as they were still hungry, they bought the toasted bread at toastbox, and we sat down at coffeebean for drinks and rest...

10.30pm darling is finally here... argghhh.......

10.45pm is the show.. Flushed away!! the supporting actor/actress which are the slugs are so cute... the way they scream, sing are so cute.. haha.. whereas the main are so so only...

when we went into the cinema looking for our seats, there was pple sitting. so our 1st instinct is that they might be sitting the wring seat, but no! they seats allocated is the same as us. so tricia went to look for the staff, their tix shld be for sat's show, but they booked fri!! hmmm....
nvm.. in the end, its solved... they were shifted to another seats...

later im going to gayathri's hse, for deepavali lunch!! hehe.. will update when im back!!!...

haha.. as big boss n my small boss is nt ard.. so i decided to blog a bit.. keke..

nothing much happen.. has been quite smooth in life...

has been doing billing for a week plus.. everything is ok...

gt a new colleague who wil be doing payable & billing.. hmm...

on tuesday i was told to teach her wat im doing..

can u imagine.. a half bucket teaching a newbie... (haha.. translate & u shld knw wat im saying)....

my small boss & shifus say it time for exam! so i hv to teach!!! haha..

just gave the newbie (actually she is internal posting, so not really newbie) a rough idea on wat is the concept and wat item to bill for YHS, J&J, P&G (SG & INT'L), GE ...

i also nt very clear so dun dare to tell her too much.. scarly wat i say is wrong then die.. haha..

i feel that pple in billing is more friendly and 'talkative' as compared to payable.. haha...

mayb because the 4 ladies in payable are all mummy.. so im like the little daughter here.. hehe..

whereas in payable, im nt the youngest and in fact, only 1 is mummy.. so by right shld be easier to communicate, but the 2 seniors onli care abt themselves...

even sapphire also say that billing pple are more thoughful and considerate.. haha.. then i tell her, u transfer team la.. kekeke...

Sapphire's fren, Pele, also started work in the company, so lunch time there is more company.. haha..

wed & thurs allen brought us out to eat!! (allen, edwin, pele, sapphire & me)... kekekeke

wed, we went to Ghim moh, yesterday went to westmall... gt free food also.. hahaha...

everything has been pleasant so far...

oh.. as for the darren.. he was supposed to cm half day on tuesday, but he didn;t turn up!! such a irresponsible guy!!!! hmm.. quite disappointed in him as well!!! but still wish him the best....

Finally Its the finals of bowling competition!!

Yesterday was the finals of the bowling competition!! Yahoo!!
as the date was changed twice, finally the competition can go on!! hahaha
the competition was orignally at CDANS, but due the changes, it was held at CSC at bukit batok!!

the original team consists of Zul (leader), banchwee, jolene & me, but due to jolene leaving the company, we have to look for a replacement and i dun know wat got into me to look for Allen...

at 1st he agreed to take part, it was only yesterday at 2plus, darren told me that Allen did not want to take part!! WTH!! he did not inform any 1 of us.. and he just fly aeroplane!!! arghhh....

last minute have to look for replacement, it was a tough thing to do.. after a few hiccups, finally managed to get patrick to take over Allen's place! at 1st he ad signed up at the eleven'th minute, but as there were no qualifying rounds and only 24 lanes for 24 teams, they were not able to take part.

And my boss agreed to let us off half an hr earlier!! =D

zul drove , so jenny and me took a lift frm him in his car there to register for my team. (Jenny was in another team with Alson(her husband) , hwa king and darren).

luckily we reach there early, i was able to grab a 9 pound ball with my finger size, hahahaha.....

actually before the game, i didn't expect anything much such as to win the top 3 position.. but we won the 1st runner up for the team competition and i won the 1st runner up for the female bowler!! hahaha...

during the 1st game, we play as per normally, and we got a total of 519 for 4 person and we were in the 3rd position!! It was a totally surprised for us, as i heard that there were many Gao Shou!!! i was shocked when i saw my name in the male category and i told the lady-in-charge that my name was put in the wrong categroy.. haha... and i was also in the 3rd position for the female bowler.. hehe i scored a total of 134 in the 1st round...

so Zul told us to maintain the standard so that we can remain in the top 3 position.. the 1st few game was quite bad for me but i dun knw wat happen.. the last last few i managed to have double strike and i pulled up the score too!! hahha

after the 2nd round, we scored a total of 510, the results were on the board, we were in the 2nd position!! Yahoo!!! we scored a total of 1029 for 2 rounds!! we were all so happy but the 3rd position is just 5 marks away frm us and they were just in lane 4!!! the 1st position scored a total of 1100++.. which was 100 plus points far ahead.. so we decided to try to chase after them and also score better than lane 4 to keep our 2nd position.. hehehe... and for me.. i was also in the 2nd position. haha... with a total of 260, 126 for 2nd round.. hehe..

3rd round starts.. we were all so hungry as they annouced that there will be food at 7.15pm but we can only eat after the game ends.. so hungry.....

as usual the 1st few games were quite back , but suddenly banchwee was on form!! he has s turkey and that turns the table for us we were lagging behind lane 4.. haha.. suddenly all of us on form.. strike, spares were all coming.. hahahahahaha.....

as other lanes games had ended, only our lane and lane 6 were about to end.. everybody stands behind us.. to watch.. so stress...

as results for 3rd round were not to post on board, we can only keep guessing if we were in 2nd position but we were quite confident that we can get!!!

finally the game ends.. we were all so tired, hungry.. we were all waiting for the results anxiously... finally the results! We won the 2nd position for team!! Yahoo!!!! I won the 2nd position for female bowler!! Yahhoooooooooo....

there were a trophy and ntuc vouchers.. hehe.. i will nt tell u hw much,, the amt is not a lot.. haha

after everyting, i asked darren where he lives, after knowing.. i asked him to give me a lift and he agreed!! haha.. he is a biker.. so scary....he wanted to leave without eating, after some sa jiaoing, he agree to eat.. hahah.. so we went to queue for food.. there was fried rice, bee hoon, curry veg, chicken wing and fishballs.. but when its our turn, no mroe fishballs and only last 3 chicken wings.. hahaha 1st time sia.. that were so close with darren.. wa hahahaha.....

ard 9.45pm.. we left.. i wanted to go ladies then he say i ma fan..... -_-"

Zul asked me 1 qn..." wldn't u bf be jealous? darren rides a bike!" i told him :P last time he let a girl sit on his lap i didn't say anything wor.. wahahaha...

i dun knw where i gt the courage to sit on darren's bike.. hehehe..
i put my hand on his shoulder as i dun knw where to put.. wahahahhaha.... im also scared... hehhe

a bit giddy after i get down the bike.. wahaha...

but darren is leaving the company nxt tues... a bit she bu de.. hahaha....

hope can keep in contact with him...

23 Oct is my darling's bdae! I wanted to take half day leave but it was not approved, so no choice, have to work lor...

then after work went to darling hse, ate diner with his family at westmall, a chinese restaurant, Mayim. It is just beside swensens..

ordered total of 8 dishes which consists of tom yam soup, fish soup, mushrooms dish, fried chicken with bone, long beans, shrimp with pepper, vinegar pig trotter, Yee mian. and we also order dessert, 3 mango sago and gui ling gao. his sis bought a mango cake from breadtalk and it taste yummy!!!

after that went for shopping for a while then his bro, him and me went to watch Dead or Alive, 12.05pm show! the show was nice!! my darling keep bluffing that its not nice and didn;t wan to let me watch in the first place, but now i watched!! haha..

the show was something like mortal kombat, or street fighter type. and the lead actresses have damn good body lor!! but the ending is a bit weird... it last for abt 1hr 15mins... can watch if u really wan to and when u wan a gd laugh and a feast for ur eyes..

haha... hmm... i will be transfering to the billing dept with effect from 1st Nov... frm now i will have half a day at payable and the other half at billing.. to learn.. haiz...

after Jolene mei mei left.. the office seems so quiet.. really not used to it sia...

if mei mei u r reading this, just to tell u I MISS U!!! :) hope you are working well in ur new office~ will meet up real soon!!!

heheh.. my darling proposed to me yesteday(24 Oct) at a quite romantic place.. Raffles Marina.. to view the yatchs.. haha..

he only came to meet me ard 6pm.. as he was doing something.. then we went to IMM for dinner.. he gave me a stalk of pink rose.. nhehe.. i didn't think much.. after dinner he say wanted to go view sea... then he drove to raffles marina..

at first i didn;t know y he brought me there.. then we were walking to view the sea and yatch and we stop at the lighthouse to view the sea and take some pictures and suddenly he say he got something to tell me... hmm....

he was tun tun tu tu at first.. haha... he was shy... but hor.. the ring he bought can only fit my little finger.. haha.. have to go and change the ring.. keke...
